  • A tribe of polypetalous plants of the order Umbelliferæ, distinguished by the fruit being strongly compressed on the back, with lateral ridges dilated into a wing-like or swollen margin. It includes 13 genera, the chief of which are Ferula, Heracleum, Opopanax, and Peucedanum (the type).
