  • The order Tripyleæ, containing the silicoskeletal radiolarians regarded as a class of Rhizopoda, characterized by the constant presence of large dark-brown pigmented granules scattered irregularly round the central capsule and covering the greater part of its outer surface. Also called Cannopylea.
