- A genus of Psittacidæ, having the central rectrices spatulate, as in the motmots of the genus Prionites (or Momotus), whence the name; the racket-tailed parrakeets. Several species in habit Celebes and the Philippines, as P. platurus, P. discurus, and P. spatuliger.
