  • A tribe of plants of the order Restiaceæ, characterized by an ovary of three, or sometimes two, cells, or reduced by abortion to a single one, and by a capsular fruit—the fruit of the other tribe, Willdenovieæ, being nut-like. It includes 7 genera, of which Restio is the type.
