I certainly didn't take offense at this, and I don't mean any now, but the use of 'tsunami' as a superlative has lost its zest for me, ever since so many people died in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
I wonder if one of my personal heroes--Takeru "The Tsunami" Kobayahi--still goes by his old nickname.
