  • I'm not sure there's another kind.

  • I doubt it. It requires a finely tuned horde of Wordie maniacs to get it just right.

  • I don't know about synchronised but this list is getting the Wordie treatment. It's going in different directions to what I had in mind. Synchronised erratics.

    August 14, 2008

  • Gangerh, no one is intentionally trying to mess up your list. If you had something else in mind, please let us know. Or you could always close it and we'll leave it alone. :-)

    August 14, 2008

  • Oh no, the Wordie Treatment is something altogether far more terrible. We were just contributing what we thought you wanted. Sorry!

    August 14, 2008

  • Uh-uh, reesetee. My imaginings are as nought compared with the wonderful invention of my fellow Wordies. Let the chips fall where they may. I'm happy.

And, c_b, you're right, of course. My mistake. I had forgotten the sheer vehement power of the Wordie treatment. Should we not have a description, though, of what treatment Wordies are capable of delivering to an open list, taking it to dimensions completely out of sync with the originator's imaginings?

    August 14, 2008

  • Well, I don't know... It's very hard to tell what the list originator wants unless it's explained very clearly. So I assume, perhaps wrongly, that an open list means just that: open to suggestion or complication or entries that are "completely out of sync." *shrugs*

    August 14, 2008

  • Glad you're happy, gangerh. I had mistaken your first comment as dissatisfaction.

As for me, having coined the phrase "Wordie Treatment" *shines knuckles on chest*, I originally intended it to refer to a sort of hostile (or at least not entirely pleasant) takeover--but we're certainly free to interpret it as a lighthearted romp through the pages of other Wordies' open lists. :-)

*runs off to play with gangerh's synchrolympics list*
