  • The wall and the crown are essential components of many decorative knots. In both, each strand of the rope is tucked under its neighbor. They are identical except for the direction of the main rope. If two rope ends faced each other, a wall in one end would be identical to a crown in the other. In the wall and crown knot, these components are combined to create a small ball at the end of the rope.
