Every cell in my body goes haywire when I hear people say, "It is what it is." And lately, everyone is saying it. Ugh!
Also, when you're going through tough times, and you need someone just to HEAR you, but they keep saying, "Everything happens for a reason."
My favorite phrase is, "Let's call a spade a spade." No need in being oblique; let's be direct as possible in identifying people, things, institutions for what they are.
