Finns are certainly not a Mongolian race. That preposterous notion was put to rest long ago. The ancestral lineages of the Finns come from two main sources; one that has been traced to around the Volga River basin (and no assumed relation to Mongols), and the same bloodlines shared by Germans and Scandinavians. Finns are as European as any other nordic people.
