  • noun An esoteric seed syllable employed thoughout dharmic traditions, e.g.: Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism), Sikha Dharma (Sikhism), Jaina Dharma (Jainism) and Buddha Dharma (Buddhism) including Mantrayana, Vajrayana, etc. as well as Hindu Tantra (Tantrism). The seed syllable is also employed in Bon traditions though these are not formally "Dharmic" traditions, they are considered so in modern parlance.
