Growing up in Baglan, just outside Port Talbot (a vast panorama of the town's steelworks forms a backdrop to The Rob Brydon Show), which has produced both Richard Burton and Anthony Hopkins (and more recently Michael Sheen, with whom he's friends), it was impossible not to notice that acting could be a very good career indeed.
