It's funny that you mention those things that the industry is moving away from and the "Playstation Era," (I love long cutscenes, long games, and ornery UIs and control schemes), because I associate those days with my first PC games, like Baldur's Gate, Rebel Assault (awesome cutscenes!), Wing Commnader (fantastic branching cutscenes) and early Monkey Island games.
