It was Quinta da Romeira 2008, from Bucelas, and it cost $10.
($12): From the Bucelas region just north of Lisbon, mostly made of Arinto, this is as crisp and fresh as can be, with lots of lemony fruit, seashell-like mineral accents and a pleasing weight on the finish.
It’s a white of high acidity that’s grown in many places with different names — it’s used in Vinho Verde, in fact — and is best known as a varietal in the Bucelas region.
