I signed up to do a Dramatic Interpretation of a section of the Aeneid (I had to memorize it and recite it in Latin, and act it out), but my team made it into the Certamen finals, so I decided to focus on that.

The rules of Certamen state that the toss-up questions may be answered by anyone (and, in fact, MUST be answered by whomever buzzes in first), and then two bonus questions are given to the team of whomever correctly answers the toss-up, upon which the team may confer and the team captain gives the answer.
