One of the editors of the above paper was at Raleigh but a short time before the article alluded to appeared in the Intelligencer; and he may there have been persuaded, through the influence of Chapel-Hill, (which is improperly thought to be opposed to a new college in the west,) to lend the aid of his respectable paper to the commencement of an opposition to the proposed institution.
