These include little bustard (Tetrax tetrax), black-bellied sandgrouse (Pterocles orientalis), lesser short-toed lark (Calandrella rufescens), thekla lark (Galerida theklae), black wheatear (Oenanthe leucura), and Dupont´s lark (Chersophilus duponti).

The region’s steppes host a very diverse bird fauna, well adapted to semi-arid conditions, such as Dupont’s lark (Chersophilus duponti), shore lark (Eremophila alpestris), roller (Coracias garrulus), and black wheatear (Oenanthe leucura).
