The leftovers were a fortuitous kitchen bonus that I used to make Crostini with Gorgonzola and Spiced Figs. The piquant flavor of blue cheese blended seamlessly with the spiced figs. It was so good I want always to keep a jar of spiced figs in the refrigerator for quick and easy last-minute appetizers.
