Moreover, in the infamous episode in which Zhou has the heart of the loyal minister Bi Gan [omission: Chinese characters] cut out, Liu says it is because Daji claimed she had heard that the heart of a sage has seven cavities; in the earlier version recounted in The Grand Scribe's Records, it is Zhou himself who wants to count the cavities in Bi Gan's heart.
