I guess, in the final analysis, you probably should've stopped watching at the beginning of season 2 which apparently you did, as your completely erroneous statement that the cylons never gave their side of the story is addressed in "Downloaded".

The Battlestar Galactica episode, "Downloaded" did not win the Hugo at the 2007 Hugo Awards presented at the World Con in Japan, but Doctor Who's excellent installment, " Girl in the Fireplace" did -- as I expected it would.

Episodes like last week's "Downloaded" suggest that the old Galactica's fire is still burning somewhere, but wouldn't it be nice if the writers could grant their human characters even a fraction of the attention that they lavished on these Cylons?

And indeed, when we see Cylon society in "Downloaded", it comes across as a sad mimicry of human society, emulating the form without understanding its function--from sitting in coffee houses to making babies.
