CRwM calls it, "Roth's most obvious homage to Blood Sucking Freaks," Roth himself calls it his Hammer scene in the commentaries, and I've seen it a gazillion times in Eurohorror--there's some version of it in damn near every Jess Franco flick, and there's a nearly identical scene in Naschy's Night of the Werewolf.

The emphasis placed by Robbe-Grillet's films on nudity, sadomasochism, fetishism, ghosts and vampires have led them to be included in written overviews of Eurohorror such as Cathal Tohill and Pete Tombs' IMMORAL TALES -- an identification that the filmmaker resented and resisted.

I had never seen The Red Queen Kills 7 Times before, but The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave is probably familiar to a lot of Eurohorror fans like myself since it was easily available in various edited forms on VHS as well as DVD, but the quality was always lackluster.
