K-Lite

When I reinstalled XP on my notebook I went and got the K-Lite codecs which has allowed me to play all the media (video stuff) that I need.

I've been using Media Player Classic/K-Lite Codec Pack on XP for a while, but after reading this post I decided to try VLC.

I was not impressed - although VLC does start up faster, it was plagued by crashes, hangs and rendering glitches - things I don't experience with MPC and K-Lite.
