I am simply making the point that we are axing real talent in KRod and we should have a plan that wisely replaces that production, if not at the major leave level next year, then as depth in the organization.

I do agree that KRod should get less of a workload; he's been worked harder than practically any closer in baseball, and it would serve the team well if Parnell got a few save chances.

We should understand that eliminating KRod from the roster sans returning talent, while potentially a good, near-term financial opportunity for the Mets, it will leave a significant hole in an already thin staff.
