Kapurthala

The selection of some 175 Autochromes, taken by two of Kahn's photographers in 1913-14 and in 1927-28, ranges in subject from familiar landmarks (the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, Fatehpur Sikri) to sacred sites of Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Muslim worshippers, to portraits of women in saris of many styles and colors, to a unique glimpse of a small state in the Punjab named Kapurthala.
