Plus, the Libramiento is on a downgrade at that point and the noise from the constant stream of diesel trucks and buses using their engine brakes ( "Jake brakes") all night long basically precludes any kind of decent sleep, even in one of the inside units.

We generally prefer the Gran Hotel or La Surtidora, mostly for their breakfasts, but our top favorite lunch restaurant is Mariscos La Güera, in Pátzcuaro at the intersection of Calle Federico Tena and Libramiento, or at the newer and larger "Campestre" location on the highway to Morelia, at Km. 44.6, at Colonia Nueva.
