So when Macera, a 48-year-old Pleasantville resident, realized after a shopping trip to Target in Mount Kisco the day before Easter that she had lost her bracelet, she was distraught.

The following Sunday, a week and a day after the incident, Macera got a call from Target.

"The bracelet had so much sentimental value attached to it," said Macera.

Macera, who was working that night, found it and drove all the way with her brother to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel to return it.
