Yes, I know as Malaysians, we steer clear of anything cold when we are ill and it didn't occur to me to eat ice cream but apparently the logic behind it (according to Ted) is that the coolness of ice cream or cool drinks helps to numb the pain so although it doesn't cure it, it is suppose to help ease the pain without meds.
