So all said we are spending the best part of 1 Trillion $/yr on what we consider defense when it is clear that no one is going to invade the US in the classic sense, our supposed future enemies (China/Russia/India???) are all a large ocean away and many years away from aqquiring Navies that could support an invasion by any strech should they be so foolish as to waste the money on such things.
