Why exactly did you hire Earl Norem to do Conan artwork for the cover of your book?

We usually relate Frazetta or Jusko, Boris, Norem or Larkin to all the painted versions of our favorite barbarian but now we can include Buscema in that pantheon too.

While I admit that I have a certain affinity for Earl Norem covers (since SSOC #21 was my very first introduction to Conan), if I had to pick an all time great, I'd probably be leaning towards Jusko or Boris ... but don't make me pick one dammit, there are just so many greats!

With the old Savage Sword of Conan (represented by Norem and Jusko) the image on the cover was almost always an oil painting, richly rendered, and Conan was usually portrayed as brusque, very burly, muscular and angry.
