My point is if the president's best defense is that at least he's better than the alternative, which is a party comprised of candidates who think condoms are irrelevant to the fight against AIDS (speaking of O'donnell) and that gay men and sexually active single women should be marginalized (speaking of too many GOP candidates to name), then isn't that basically like admitting he doesn't really have a strong defense at all?
