I have been working with a group of woodturners in Paracho, Michoacan (Paracho is 30 miles out of Urapan, to the north) for over 10 years and I can no longer employ them full time.

My route out of Morelia to Paracho is to go on just past Pátzcuaro and take the turnoff through Pichataro (a wood furniture making village worth checking out), Nahuatzén, then at Cheran make a left an you are just a few short kilometers to Paracho, a much shorter drive than the more often suggested way through Uruapan.
