Patrick Rothfuss is the author of the well-received Name of the Wind (the first book of The Kingkiller Chronicle) which won the Quill Award, was named as Best Book of the Year by Publishers Weekly and the SF Site Readers 'Poll, and was a New York Times bestseller.
