Sanem based his model off of the "Tumbler" design featured in the Christopher Nolan films, which depicts the Batmobile as more of an agile army tank than a standard car; he believes that the other incarnations of the vehicle are "too weenie."

Despite the enthusiastic responses, Sanem said that the conflicting demands of building the go-kart, watching his kids and Zier's job means he doesn't have enough time to fully devote to his part-time job mowing lawns.
