Kavi or Kavya is another name of Sukra, the preceptor of the Daityas.

'Angaraka' is the planet Mars, and 'Sukra' i.e. Venus.

Who is there worthy of becoming a leader, when the invincible Drona, that foremost of persons conversant with Brahma, is here, that one who is equal to Sukra or Vrihaspati himself?

Yadu, O best of the Bharatas, was born of Devayani and, therefore, O sire, was the daughter's son of Sukra, otherwise called Kavya, of immeasurable energy.
