They are not too consistent on individual rain events though because they have a hard time initializing and advecting the weak disturbances that rotate around these upper lows and cause the precipitation events.
But I am also inferring another sentiment here mostly from other threads, that the warming that takes place over urban areas is then “advecting” to other areas significantly downstream, and thus, the UHI may actually explain regional or larger scale warming.
