A man from somewhere in the midwest/west (for some reason I think it was Iowa or Idaho) said that his preacher always called NYC a pit of sin or den of iniquity (or some such) and to stay far away, but seeing how we acted after 9/11 amade him think it was a place he’d maybe like to visit one day.
