  • In zoology, not divided into parts; unsegmented: distinguished both from eumeristic and dysmeristic: as, “ameristic flukes,”
  • In botany, destitute of a meristem: applied to the prothalli of certain ferns which, being inadequately nourished, produce antheridia only.
