  • So I read the passage underneath the heading and right there in the opening sentence, for the first time, I saw a part of myself, the part that had frightened me so much for so many years, defined in print: "Mothers with an anankastic [ie obsessive] personality may experience intrusive and distressing thoughts about their babies, including impulses to inflict bodily harm."
