  • A group of animals retaining or supposed to retain an unaltered oral orifice or archæostoma throughout life; in some systems, a prime division of the great phylum Vermes, including the Rotifera, Gephyrea, Nemathelminthes, and Platyhelminthes excepting Cestoidea: distinguished from Deuterostomata.
