April 6th, 2010 6: 33 am ET why would arizonans vote for mccain? he singlehandedly handed the election to obama when he picked palin as a running mate. if recall is correct, he even called himself a maverick during the campaign, and after the loss to obama. obama won by a landslide, if recall is correct, by winning the votes of many democrats, independents, and republicans. it will be a shock if mccain wins re-election. independently disgusted with politics.

OTOH, living in nevada under actual serious drought conditions – the drought’s now up to 10 years, plus or minus; and lake mead’s dropped some 300-400 feet in that time – the notion of arizonans complaining about water rates/restrictions is ironic, at the very least. i lived in phoenix/mesa for 3 years or so. y’all still do the “irrigate the lawns” thing?
