  • Or if you're Biff Tannen, as useful as a screen-door on a battleship. Now make like a tree and get out of here!!

    December 11, 2007

  • Ha! I almost forgot about Biff Tannen!

    December 11, 2007

  • Good to see that the Wikipedia entry for Biff Tannen is about the same length as that for the Poincaré conjecture. I'd hate to think that they were shirking their responsibility to keep us informed about the minutiae of popular culture.

  • I love that the very joke I quoted here (or very bad joke, as it were) is also listed on that Wikipedia page. Who'da thunk it?

    December 12, 2007

  • Clearly, Poincaré wasn't as funny as Biff Tannen, sionnach. *eye roll* The homogenization of information continues.... :-\

Admit it, uselessness. You wrote that Wikipedia entry, didn't you? ;-)

    December 12, 2007

  • I wish I had. I'm a huge BttF nerd. :-P

But I can't STAND the writing/editing culture of Wikipedia, and I avoid doing anything but reading the darn thing. Occasionally I'll anonymously correct a typo or punctuation error, but only because my pedantry cannot be tamed.

    December 12, 2007

  • I hear you. :-)

    December 12, 2007

  • U! 1) You're back, and 2) I just said this to someone the other day! "Make like a tree... and get out of here!" Ha! What are the odds!

Wait! Why can't I stop! With the exclamation points?!

    December 12, 2007

  • I! don't! know! but! it's! apparently! contagious!!!

    December 12, 2007

  • Exclamation point? Is that like a question point that's going straight?
