I have wondered if there was merit within the forum reports of (understandable) hostility between established Japanese players and the comparatively recent influx NA and European players(although I must say that I have never experienced any overt hostility, but many "global-kun"), but perhaps your mention of “asobi” may shed light upon the origination of tension - are NA and EU players factored in to become digital-gaijin?
