  • noun A genus of perennial, bright-flowered plants, more or less evergreen trailers, of the family Brassicaceæ, sometimes grown for rock-work or edgings. Twelve species are found in Italy, Greece, Asia Minor, and Persia. A. deltoidea (including A. Græca) is commonest in America.
