  • Large board that was part of the corn wagon used in harvesting corn. Ears were picked and shucked, and tossed or thrown to the wagon. The bang board, standing higher than the box of the wagon served as a sort of backboard, preventing off-the-mark throws from sending the ear over and past the wagon. Corn ears hit the bang board and dropped into the wagon.
