  • noun A colorless, tasteless, crystalline compound, C6H4OCH3OCOC6H5, obtained by the action of benzoyl chlorid upon guaiacol; guaiacol benzoate; benzoyl guaiacol. It is sometimes taken internally for intestinal tuberculosis and diarrhea.
