If thats the case, then bringing him up this year around the trade deadline after dealing blalock would make the most sense to me. to bring in some veteran for the first couple of weeks or give the job to someone on the current roster (maybe MaxRam or one of the OFs get some playing time there). but i just dont think they'll do that if Smoak continues to hit well.
