  • My grandparents butzed me around 1960. There's more online about "bom bom butz" now than there was three years ago. It's also spelled "bam-bam-butz" (with a demo on YouTube), and "bom-bom-bootz" (with advice by the Berenstains).

  • My grandpa Abe Markowitz taught me this when I was a baby (back in 1957!) He was a Jewish immigrant from Transylvania, Romania. Maybe this is where this game originated from. Each generations seems to play it with the next. Babies LOVE it!

  • A game played with babies, where you say "bom bom butz" (rhymes with "puts") and on "butz" gently bump your forehead against theirs. Apparently not unique to my family as it's mentioned on Blue Ox.
