the first flume single track arrived and i knew it was gonna be a sweet day. the ipod was cranking out one solid punk rock anthem after another, and all the fave's were there--the lillingtons, teenage bottlerocket, the apers, social distortion, the travoltas, the riverdales, the ramones, the donnas.

The entire last chunk of this book is GO GO GO FINALE TIME, YAY! and it is great, but it’s very fast to write — and the trouble with bottlerocket writing blasting forward in a straight line without stopping is that if you begin a session with your aim even slightly off … you go very, very far in the very wrongest of all possible directions.

i could do without the jesus aspect of this band but they were always a solid ramones-core band. i miss being able to find a ton of bands who sounded like this, now its pretty much just bottlerocket (who are probably the best of the genre ever but still i miss the mid 90's punk scene)
