Demokritos you know, i always imagined in my head, a scene where catelyn finds bran climbing and gives him a little firm talking to about it. i can't seem to find it in the text.

I saw a little post on westeros that was mostly ignored but true. the perfect catelyn actor should have great chemistry against cersei. catelyn should have an air of soundness and maturity in comparison to cersei's evil thing. if i were casting her, i'd pit my favorites against each other in a scene to feel out how the tension emerges. she also should seem right as other roles: queen mother, lover to eddard.

Posted on May 18, 2009 10:11 PM e.g holly marie combs? who on earth thought she would be a good catelyn? yech. i identify with gillian too strongly from her x-files days i think to have full suspicion of disbelief but she is a very talented lady with a unique look. i imagine catelyn to be more saffron burrows-ish i suppose but i'm looking forward to a possible unknown new talent taking up the catelyn helm. and i think catelyn has to be a little beautiful, she's no cersei to be sure, but beautiful enough to have scarred littlefinger for life.

so in that sense, my chapter counts are valid, no? tyrion wins handedly because he is also the most active character when he is NOT on screen, meaning other characters like cersei, ned, catelyn, sansa, jaime, and even bran all talk about him or are affected by his actions.

totally agree about catelyn, actually. she's off my radar because she was always the character who i leap frogged past to get to the characters i cared about more deeply.

somehow i don't think she is as useless as we think funke. if it turns out she is dead, and she didn't accomplish her promise to catelyn or her promise to jaime, i'll be disappointed, but i don't think that will be the case. just my opinion.
