• A group of Coleoptera or beetles having the fourth and fifth tarsal joints not connate, the first ventral segments visible for the entire breadth (except in Physodidæ), the antennæ clavate or capitate (very rarely serrate), and the club at the end of these furnished with from 2 to 5 joints.
