  • In Latreille's system of classification, the seventh family of tetramerous Coleoptera or beetles, now retained as a superfamily of the suborder Tetramera, containing the families Erotylidæ and Languriidæ, characterized by compression and clavation of the last three joints of the antennæ and a broadly transverse last joint of the maxillary palps.
